How bodywork unfolds
Sexological bodywork sessions employ a mapping approach, where together we get curious about what is happening in the terrain of your body in the present moment. This approach is informed by my training in sexological bodywork and underway training in Genital De-armouring and Scar Treatment, Remediation, Education and Management.
Whether we are exploring spaces with less sensation, investigating pain, supporting scars to soften, unlocking emotion stored in the tissue or creating more pathways to pleasure, we are guided by your nervous system and self-awareness.
We will continue communicating throughout the session, with particular attention to your nervous system and noticing how it is responding to the work being done. You will be encouraged to play with breath, to move, to make sound and to use your own touch where it feels right to.
As a certified sexological bodyworker and STREAM practitioner in training, I am able to offer pelvic bodywork, including working with the pelvis and genitals for clients who come with sexual inquiries and issues.
This does not mean that bodywork sessions must be focused on the pelvis! Sexological bodywork sessions are a conversation between you and your whole somatic experience, between your state and your story, between what you have experienced and what is emerging.
